The scientific research project of “Key Technology and Application of High Performance Rolling Bearing Processing”, which was mainly completed by C&U, won the second prize of national Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. This is the first time for C&U to win this heavyweight award, and it is also the only winning project in the bearing industry this year.

The requirements for the award generally meet the following three conditions: outstanding technological innovation, the overall technical level and technical and economic indicators of the industry leading level; the economic or social benefits are significant and the market value or social value of technological innovation is realized; it plays an obvious role in promoting the progress of science and technology in the industry, and has a strong demonstration and driving role in the development of the industry. A total of 264 projects, 10 science and technology experts and one international organization were selected for the 2020 State Science and Technology Awards.
The scientific research project of “Key Technology and Application of High Performance Rolling Bearing Processing” completed by C&U and related scientific research units and enterprises won the second prize of national Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. The results of this project effectively solve the high precision consistency and high surface quality processing problems of the core components of high-end rolling bearings, and successfully realize the industrial production of high-end rolling bearings. High-end rolling bearing products are widely used in high-end CNC machine, wind generator, automobile and other fields, has broken the high-end rolling bearing the situation of monopoly by foreign enterprises, for the development of Chinas high-end equipment provides a strong support, promote the progress of science and technology of bearing industry in our country, and achieved good economic and social benefits.
